Political Animals

One of the books I feel most proud and privileged to have commissioned is Political Animals: The New Feminist Cinema by writer, poet, activist – and now friend – Sophie Mayer (I.B.Tauris, 2015). It was a pleasure to edit and it’s an even greater pleasure to see it spread its wings in the world. In the February issue of Sight & Sound magazine, the legendary feminist film scholar B. Ruby Rich has penned a fantastic review of the book, calling it ‘a boon to a generation’. She writes: ‘[With] genius timing, [Political Animals] has arrived at the white-hot crest of a feminist political reemergence into the business of film.’ Boom!
